Heritage Winooski Mill Museum

This year the Heritage Winooski Mill Museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary. If you haven’t visited the museum yet, this summer would be a good time head on down.

The museum’s permanent exhibition gives a detailed presentation of the building’s history as a textile mill. There many French Canadian and other immigrants once toiled to create all kinds of fabrics for all kinds of clothing, including Civil War uniforms.

The exhibition space features a Story Kiosk, where visitors can record their personal stories. You can listen to stories that others have recorded here.

The museum would love to hear your story if you have:

*a personal connection to this or any other textile mill

*a family immigration story

*a memory of the Mill Museum itself

Help the museum celebrate its birthday by sharing your story!

Anyone who shares their story by August 31 will be entered for a chance to win a $25 gift card for the Waterworks Restaurant.

The museum’s official 25th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Sunday, September 3, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  They’ll showcase community stories and announce the gift card winner.
