Our French School offers a variety of specialty courses in addition to traditional language classes for adults. We build Vermont's
Francophone/Francophile community by hosting French conversation hours and other social events. And we strive to keep you informed
about French-related cultural happenings in northern Vermont.
Learn French with the AFLCR! Our courses focus on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and our experienced instructors make learning
engaging and supportive for all levels.
You don’t have to speak French to participate in activities through the Alliance Française. We welcome everyone that is interested in learning and experiencing French and Francophile culture.

An afternoon of song and lyricism united by the theme of distance voice and deep longing: Claude Debussy's evocative Ariettes Oubliées, the Largo from Chopin's Cello Sonata Op. 65, John Tavener’s haunting Akhmatova Songs, Johannes Brahms’ lullabies Zwei Gesänger, Op. 91, Theodor Leschetizky’s Consolation, Op. 40 No. 2, and Bernstein's Dream with Me.
