A1 101 True Beginner - Hybrid

Standard Language Courses

Bienvenue aux débutants! Welcome, beginners! This hybrid class (students can attend online optionally) is designed for students with no prior experience in French. Careful attention is paid to proper pronunciation, best learning techniques, and in-class participation to learn how to speak with confidence. We will cover the first three units of Édito A1: introducing oneself, talking about likes and dislikes, and learning basic exchanges. Greetings, initial numbers, and the alphabet are also covered, in addition to core grammar concepts such as basic verb conjugations and the gender of nouns. Have fun in French with your classmates learning the language in authentic contexts and using our practical and effective method!

A2 102B Hybrid

Standard Language Courses

This class will cover Unit 4 and much of Unit 5 in the Édito A2 book series. The two themes covered are describing people (physical traits and character) and life in the future (science and innovation). Students will learn how to make comparisons and talk about future technologies as well as expressing compliments, hope, and surprise. Grammar structures include possessive pronouns, the future tense, and use of the pronoun on. Practice conversationally with the teacher and your classmates, all while refining your pronunciation and cultural understanding! Engaging activities and ancillaries help students structure and reinforce their learning.
