Equinox Wind Quintet

A concert featuring works by French composers Claude Arrieu, Claude Debussy, and Francis Poulenc will be performed by Vermont’s Equinox Wind Quintet, along with pianist Michael Sitton. A portion of the concert will also be performed live on Vermont Public Classical on Thursday, November 19 at 11 AM.  A major work on the program will be Poulenc’s Sextet for Piano and Winds, a significant chamber work of its kind written in the 1930’s, showing both Poulenc’s irreverent wit and his affinity for lush, rich melodic writing.  Admission to the concerts is by donation.
