Quebec’s Nat’l Day June 24
The Québec Government Office in Boston has asked we help support a 24-day social media celebration leading up to the Canadian national holiday on June 24. This year’s French Heritage Day in Winooski and the Rencontre francophone originally scheduled for the 21st and 24th of this month respectfully, were regretfully cancelled because of the border closure due to COVID-19. We miss our friends from Québec and want them to know they’re Bienvenue as always when restrictions are finally lifted.
The Delegation is asking people to cook their favorite Québec dish and to share a photo with them. “This #24GourmetQc challenge will gather recipes that remind our New England friends of Québec. Any recipe that reminds you of your mémé is more than welcome.”
Photos can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
This is a picture of last year’s winning tourtière at French Heritage Day in Winooski. Thanks to our own Lise Veronneau for having shared it and the recipe with everyone.
