Lecture Series: When the oppressed Are finally given a voice, what does one learn from them?

Join Saint Michael’s College French major Abby Snarski, English professor Christina Root and French professor Peter Vantine in a discussion on the affect of French colonization on the Algerian population throughout history, and particularly how it is reflected in Albert Camus’s L’Étranger and Kamel Daoud’s The Meursault Investigation.

The panel will also discuss the modern islamophobic mindset found around France and America today.

Discussion will be in English with an introduction in French. The event is $10 for Adult Non-Members, $8 for Adult Members, $5 for Student Non-Members and Free for Student Members. Coffee and cookies will be served.
