Vermont International Film Festival, 2015

This year the VTIFF featured a selection of French films:

Au bord du monde (On the Edge of the World), dir. Claus Drexel, 2013, France. A documentary about the homeless population in Paris. The screening is a fundraiser for Burlington’s Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS).

Once in a Lifetime, dir. Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, 2014, France. An unruly group of students are forced to confront misconceptions when they are assigned a project involving the Holocaust.

The New Girlfriend, dir Francois Ozon, 2015, France. In this adaption of a short story by Ruth Rendell, a young woman whose childhood friend dies is drawing into a web of shifting perspectives.

Tu Dors Nicole (You’re Sleeping, Nicole), dr. Stéphane Lafleur, 2015, Quebec. A 22-year-old woman takes steps into adulthood, rife with unspoken uncertainties.
