In this internet television interview, Mr. Eric Latour (ericlatour.com) discussed with Mr. Roger Léger from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Mr. Weston Donehower from the AFLCR, the history and current status of French in the states of New York and Vermont, including efforts that the Alliance française de la région du Lac Champlain is making to promote  French language and culture in the Burlington area. Mardi Gras 2011

On March 5 the AFLCR was delighted to be a first time participant in Burlington, Vermont's Mardi Gras parade. Our theme was "la francophonie globale", and featured Franco-Senegalese drummers, bead-throwers of Québecois and French Caribbean heritage, and a boat symbolically sailing amongst far-flung francophone cultures. We were proud to receive the fourth highest judge's score for our char festif!
